The ideal candidate:
Qualified applicants must possess a minimum of
- Three years intensive experience developing in Java
- Computer Sciences, Systems Analysis and similar technical degree.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Fluency in English is required
- Strong problem solving skills.
- Good organization and prioritization skills
- Leadership and team development
- Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team
- Experience developing IT solutions for the Financial Services industry a plus

Job Description and responsibilities:
Dell Financial Services is seeking talented Java developers to join our energetic, fast-paced environment. You will be working on new development as well as system support activities, including designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting J2EE programs. Our complex financial systems range from development of consumer and internal facing web based applications, to internal batch processing systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Designing, coding, testing, debugging and documenting J2EE and PL SQL programs · Partnering with business/user group representatives to understand business processes and requirements, then translating those needs into formal, documented business requirements. · Collaborating with business analysts or client and systems analysts to prepare program specification documentation. · Examining document requirements, technical design documentations, unit test, system test, user acceptance test, and implementation plans for small to complex projects · Act as the liaison between business/user group representatives and other team member during development and support efforts. · May need to assist in Development and QA acceptance test environment build and maintenance. · 1st and 2nd tier support for assigned applications and identifies and triages application issues. · Developing estimates on related project work. · Staying current with new technology developments and development techniques. · Responsible for monitoring and reporting development project status and anticipating potential issues that could adversely impact scheduled. · Provide post-implementation support. · Ensure availability of systems through application monitoring · Research and evaluate software and hardware to assist in software development on different platforms. · May support investigation of feasibility, costs, time and compatibility with hardware and other software systems. · May conduct technical reviews and provides direction to other Application Developers.
