The ideal candidate:
Dell is looking for an energetic fast learning candidate that has strong team leadership skills, able to work well with groups on a global level, and a consultative approach and problem solving abilities to enable our business partners to operate more effectively. These candidates will be responsible for designing, testing, administering, and troubleshooting large enterprise-scale information portals on Microsoft Windows SharePoint Server (WSS) and Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS). The person will work in a team responsible for the daily maintenance, infrastructure support, and performance tuning of the SharePoint Server Farm. Additional work will be based on the migration of legacy SharePoint portals and Web Services to the SharePoint and .NET platform.
Recommended Qualifications:
- Candidates must have exceptional customer service, problem solving, and communication skills
- Must have sufficient technical depth to communicate with development and other internal organizations at a peer level as well as convey technical concepts to non-technical individuals
- Possess the ability to work independently with minimal management supervision and with a global team of engineers
Technical Requirements:
- Prior experience with SharePoint 2003 -2 Years Windows 2003, User administration, patch, IIS log files, Performance Monitors and System Services management -2 Years of experience .NET Framework 1.1 - 2.0 -3 Years of experience with SQL Server 2000/2005 -2 Years of hands on experience with ASP.NET - C# -Strong knowledge of Networking, Active Directory, LDAP, Exchange -Knowledge of integrating to back-end systems including Documentum
2-6 years of professional experience (2 years directly related to I/T or functional area) or equivalent combination

Job Description and responsibilities:
Sets direction of the systems engineer group
· Mentors/coaches less experienced SEs · Drives projects that are cross-functional and integrate various systems/platforms · Regularly assists in orienting, training, assigning, and checking the work of lower level systems engineers. · Prioritizes work as it relates to the achievement of Dell's short and long-term business goals and objectives. · Responsible for complex testing and analysis of all elements of the computer systems · Provides guidance and direction to junior level system engineers. · Assists with performance evaluations of junior level system engineers. · Regularly assists in orienting, training, assigning and checking the work of lower level engineers. · Applies advanced understanding of Dell's business needs in the development of system resources. · Establishes system priorities as they relate to Dell's achievement of short and long-term business goals and objectives.
Analyzes and provides innovative solutions to system engineering and design projects.
