Company Profile

Yodle is a leading local online advertising company with a simple mission: to connect local businesses with consumers so simply and cost-effectively that business owners can’t imagine any other way to advertise.

It’s no secret that 82% of consumers use the Internet to find local businesses. But the high complexity of running a local online advertising campaign is daunting – if not downright intimidating – to local business owners. That’s where Yodle comes in. Changing how businesses advertise to local markets.

Yodle is changing the way local businesses advertise – by building their online presence, driving more phone calls and generating new customers. Yodle turns advertising into an investment that can be measured so business owners can see exactly how their advertising is performing.

So it's no wonder that the leading venture capital firms, Bessemer Venture Partners, Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Draper Fisher Jurvetson Growth and JAFCO Ventures have invested over $30 million in Yodle's rapid growth. Our story. Yodle's Story

Yodle was founded in March 2005 by Nathaniel Stevens who, at the time, was managing online marketing for his father's car dealership in New Haven, CT, while still a student at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School. Nathaniel realized that there was a better way for small businesses to connect with consumers than the antiquated techniques business owners were then using. After winning a business plan competition and gaining some initial funding, Nathaniel teamed up with childhood friends Ben Rubenstein and John Berkowitz, as well as one of his professors at Wharton, Dr. Kartik Hosanagar, to build the business. From those humble beginnings – working late into the night out of shared office spaces and cramped apartments – Yodle would go on to achieve astronomical growth. Early in 2007 Yodle hired Court Cunningham as CEO and the eleventh employee. Today, Yodle is the fastest growing local online advertising company in the U.S. with a team of 450 talented individuals helping thousands of clients grow their business online. Yodle's headquarters are in New York, NY and has a presence in 40 of the top cities across the United States.
