Company Profile

We started Bump Technologies to solve a major problem with mobile phones: there was no way to easily and intuitively connect two phones that are sitting right next to each other. There is an enormous gap between the growing intelligence of mobile devices and the relatively archaic methods to connect them. Should I really have to type in someone’s phone number or email address to be able to interact with them when they are standing right next to me? We don’t think so.

At Bump, you’ll get the chance to have a major impact within a start-up that is trying to fundamentally change the way people use their mobile phones. We’re building a brand new technology and platform that we plan to have used by everyone with a phone. The code you write will be used immediately by the millions of people who have already installed and are using Bump today. The products you help create will have the potential to change the way people use their phones in a wide variety of extremely large markets. The people you work with will inspire you to have an impact from day one, tackle tough problems head on, and have fun doing it.

Bump Technologies, Inc. is backed by Sequoia Capital, Sherpalo Ventures (Ram Shriram), Ron Conway, Y Combinator, and several other prominent Silicon Valley angels, and is based in Mountain View, CA. Positions are located at our offices on Dana Street, just minutes from Castro Street, Caltrain, and VTA Light Rail. Bump offers competitive base salary, early-stage stock options, health benefits, and a great group of people to work with. This next year will be intense, and we are hiring people who get stuff done.
