Job4Dev is not your traditional job board. We feel that traditional job search sites still rely on the old model of being the middleman between hiring managers and professionals. Given that this is the internet, we (Raphael Lullis and Miguel Galves) wanted a system that would allow people to communicate freely and directly with people they will be working with.
We believe that a market is most efficient when everyone has equal access to information. The more tools knowledge workers have available, the better their decision process will be. Likewise, the more a company is able to gather about potential candidates, the faster they will be to build an efficient team.
The simplest way we could achieve an easier flow of information is by making every page work like a Wikipedia page. Anyone can create a page for a company or a job listing. For instance, you don't need to be part of the HR team of your company to post a job listing. You can just create a page for your company and add a listing for it. Over that page, people can look for more information before applying, or discuss with employees of the company... anything that allows both parties to know even if there is a good fit before a more time-costly phone screen or interview.
